-
- By using Inetutils to download the news and running TIN _without_ the -r
- option set. It's a bit of a fiddle to set up, and requires careful reading of
- the TIN, InetUtils and npns documentation, but once set up it works very
- well. I have been using the setup suggested above by Andrea Rafreider
- for about six months now. I also use TIN as an online reader (tin -nqr) for
- occaisional forays into the binary newsgroups.
-
- Some may not like the non-GUI nature of TIN, but in terms of power I don't
- think it is rivalled on the Amiga. I became accustomed to its Curses-based
- interface while working under UNIX in any case, and as you know, an entirely
- keyboard-based interface, once learned, is very fast indeed to use.
